RESOURCES
The Internet provides access to a vast array of resources, but where do you start? Our goal is to help you begin to navigate the resources that might be helpful to you as a parent/caregiver, a professional, or a clinical therapist. This is by no means an exhaustive list; rather, it provides access to resources that we have found to be helpful.
Knowledge is power. We believe that providing information and access to free resources not only empowers people; but also, creates partnerships in healing. Our approach as The Clinical Collective is to operate in a collaborative and consultative manner, to credit the work of those who have contributed to the knowledge base, and to strive to provide equitable access to services and resources.
Our goal is to attempt to keep abreast of new approaches, findings, and research related to those who have experienced trauma and those who have engaged in sexually harming behaviours. We encourage you to check back regularly for updates.
Our resources will be divided into sections according to the populations we serve, specific areas of interest, and identified for three key audiences client (parents/caregivers and family members); professionals supporting clients and families ( e.g., child welfare, justice, healthcare, and school personnel) and clinical therapists (i.e., those engaged in providing assessment and treatment services). Our resources may include links to websites, downloadable files/handouts, as well as on-line courses and training.
There is no substitute for attuned, responsive parenting. Supportive conversations where your child feels believed and listened to is the best practice during this period of development, while seeking services for your child.
